Whatever the food fashion, trend or fad, photography has played an important part in it. After all you eat with your eyes first.
With several years experience photographing for AA Gill's Table Talk review in The Sunday Times' Style magazine, I appreciate a restaurants attempts to compliment the cuisine with ambiance, service, interior design and value, but it is the the final plate presentation that can elevate a dish before it is tasted. Just watch Masterchef.
Street food has learnt similar lessons to expand during this economical crisis. Quality products with original twists, presentation, portion control, price point. After all, the customer generally doesn't get a plate to admire and will usually eat the product stood up.

It's great to see the Tour speed through the Elizabeth Olympic Park, even if it took only seconds, but it was great to see so many people waiting and just being British.

As I mentioned in the last post, there are wastelands appearing around the edges of the QEO Park where Warm-up tracks, roads and construction storage used to be. Either Legacy has not been able to use the space or it still has no purpose.
Over the last two days I've had the chance to drive around the whole park and have come across so much waste land. The central part is popular and busy, but the outskirts are still awaiting an idea.
There are a few new features in the Park mostly aimed at children and not all of the park is open, but access is easy and it's a massive space. Most of the fabulous flowers and plants from 2012 have gone and have been replaced with simpler features.
